Privacy Policy

The notes you write never leave your Mac. The TearMark app does not transmit your notes anywhere, does not require an account, and does not measure how you use it. This website counts page views; see “About this website” below.
Where your notes live
Everything you write in TearMark is stored on your Mac, inside the application support folder, as plain Markdown (.md) files. The search index (SQLite) sits in the same place. Neither is sent anywhere.
The developer cannot read these files. There is no sync server and no cloud storage.
Content leaves only when you ask
Your notes leave the app only through actions you take explicitly:
- Send to Obsidian — moves a .md file to a folder you chose
- Export as Markdown — writes .md files to a folder you chose
- Copy — places content on your clipboard
All of these stay on your Mac. None of them go over the network.
Purchases
Two services are involved in in-app purchases and entitlement checks:
- Apple handles payment and receipts. The developer never receives your payment details.
- RevenueCat, Inc. manages whether your subscription is active. It receives an anonymous identifier generated by the app, your purchase history, and technical details such as your OS version. It never receives the content of your notes. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
What is not collected
The TearMark app does none of the following:
- Account registration or email collection
- Usage analytics or behavioral measurement inside the app (no analytics SDK is bundled)
- Advertising, or use of data for advertising
- Sharing or selling data to third parties
- Tracking as defined by App Tracking Transparency
About this website
This policy covers the app. tearmark.app itself counts page views, so that the developer can tell whether an announcement reached anyone at all.
The counting is done by Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and builds no profile of you across visits. What it records is the page you opened, the site you came from, and coarse technical details such as country, browser, and device type. It cannot identify you, and the data is never used for advertising or shared with anyone. See cloudflare.com/web-analytics.
This has no connection to what you write. Notes never leave your Mac in the first place, whether or not you ever visit this site.
Opening links
Clicking a link inside a note opens it in your default browser. Sites you reach that way are governed by their own privacy policies.
Children
TearMark is not directed at any particular age group and collects no personally identifiable information, including age.
Deleting your data
Delete notes in the app, or delete the files directly from the storage folder. Uninstalling the app removes its container along with everything in it. There is no data held by the developer, so there is nothing to request deletion of.
If you are in the EU or UK (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Legal basis: purchase information is processed to perform the contract — giving you the app you paid for (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Nothing else involves personal data.
Retention: the developer stores none of your data. Purchase records are kept by Apple and RevenueCat under their own policies.
International transfer: technical information is sent to RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) to manage entitlement. That transfer relies on Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Since the developer holds no personal data, requests about purchases are handled by Apple or RevenueCat. Write to support@tearmark.app and you will be pointed to the right one.
Complaints: you may lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, this page is updated and the date above is revised. Significant changes will be announced in the app.

メモの保存場所
TearMark で書いたメモは、すべてお使いの Mac のアプリケーションサポートフォルダ内に、 プレーンな Markdown ファイル（.md）として保存されます。 検索用の索引（SQLite）も同じ場所にあり、外部には送信されません。

いずれも、あなたの Mac の中で完結します。ネットワークを経由しません。
購入について
App 内課金の処理と、購入状態の確認のために、次の2社のサービスを利用します。
- Apple — 決済とレシートの発行を行います。 お支払い情報を開発者が受け取ることはありません。
- RevenueCat, Inc. — 購入状態（サブスクリプションが有効かどうか）を管理します。 同社には、アプリが自動生成した匿名の識別子、購入履歴、OS のバージョンなどの 技術情報が送られます。メモの内容は一切送られません。 同社のプライバシーポリシーは revenuecat.com/privacy をご覧ください。
収集しないもの
TearMark アプリは次のいずれも行いません。
- アカウント登録・メールアドレスの取得
- アプリ内での利用状況の解析・行動計測（アナリティクスツールを一切組み込んでいません）
- 広告の配信、および広告目的でのデータ利用
- 第三者へのデータ提供・販売
- App Tracking Transparency で定義される「トラッキング」

ここまでの内容はアプリについてのものです。 tearmark.app（このサイト）では、ページの閲覧数を数えています。 告知がそもそも誰かに届いているのかを、開発者が把握するためです。

お子様の利用について
TearMark は特定の年齢層を対象としたアプリではなく、 年齢に関する情報を含め、個人を特定する情報を一切収集しません。
データの削除
メモを削除するには、アプリ内で削除するか、保存フォルダのファイルを直接削除してください。 アプリをアンインストールすると、macOS がコンテナごと削除します。 開発者側に保存されているデータはないため、削除を依頼する必要はありません。
EU・英国にお住まいの方へ（GDPR / UK GDPR）

処理の根拠: 購入に関する情報は、ご購入いただいたアプリを提供するという 契約の履行のために処理されます（GDPR 第6条1項(b)）。それ以外に個人データを扱う場面はありません。
保存期間: 開発者側にはあなたのデータが保存されていません。 購入の記録は Apple および RevenueCat が、それぞれの方針に従って保持します。
国外への移転: 購入状態の管理のため、技術情報が RevenueCat, Inc.（米国）へ送られます。同社は標準契約条項（SCC）に基づいて移転を行っています。
